Tranquility Home Spa offers a number of enrichment packages to schools. The workshop lasts 2-3 hours and combines Practical hands on learning, theory of the art practised and blends the current primary / secondary curriculum to boost the educational value. For example the faceprinting workshop will recap over Roman , Celtic, Viking symbols. Whereas the Indian Head Massage will incorporate student well being and relief of tension in those periods leading up to exam time. Staff CPD available.
Facepainting for a class of up to 30

This workshop lasts 3 hours and comprises of Basic theory of facepainting. Short clips of video are included and a brief practical demonstration. Primary curriculum symbols of Roman. Celtic ,Vikings and meanings will be included. A quiz and Practical session working on paper designs and then face or manequin heads. All materials , power points and instructions will be included. Children will work in pairs and sit on tables in a group of 6. Each class will have a separate risk assessment .
Indian Head Massage for a class up to 30

This workshop lasts 2 hours and incorporates the theory of Indian Head Massage, basic head, shoulder and arm anatomy. A practical demonstration will be given and students will have the chance to practice on each other. All materials ,power points and instructions will be included. This workshop is ideal to promote well being and links in nicely with Physical Education. Pupils will practice on each other through clothes sitting on chairs. Each class will have a separate risk assessment.
Basic Body Massage for a class of up to 30

This workshop lasts 2 hours and incorporates the theory of basic massage through clothes. It will cover other Massage techniques such as Thai Massage ,Bamboo Massage,Stone Massage and the history of it. The Anatomy of the body will be covered and the systems that relate to massage. The students will be able to perform the massage sequence fully clothed on a PE mat. This workshop links in with well being ,history and anatomy and physiology. Each class will have a separate risk assessment.
Skin Care for a class of up to 30

This workshop lasts 2 hours and comprises of basic theory of skin cleansing and the changes of the skin during puberty. It will cover basic Anatomy and Physiology of the face. The students will practice making a homemade biological mask and perform a cleansing routine with facial massage with emphasis on teaching muscles of the face. This workshop links in with PE,HE and well being. Each class will have a separate risk assessment.

Tranquility Home Spa offers packages for small groups ideal for PRU units , youth centres or Staff CPD based learning. Your workshop needs can be discussed and individual prices agreed upon. Students over 16 can enquire about courses that are fully insurable allowing them to work as a professional. Qualifying on courses are great to supplement an income while attending University.
Discounts can apply if a large number of Courses are combined. Students must be 16 years of age or above on completing the certificate. Work Based Learning can be arranged. Enrichment activities can be arranged for Educational Establishments or PRU units .
